He was born on April 3, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Don and Maureen Newman.John was raised in Salt Lake City where he attended South High School. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force. After leaving the military, he worked alongside his dad in the sheet metal business until he found his niche in sales.On November 10, 1979, he married Kathy Zuech from Ogden, Utah, and together they had three children: Jennifer, Jeremy, and Joshua. They have lived the last 36 years in Clearfield, Utah.John was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Maureen Newman; his brother, Jerry Newman; daughter, Kelly Brown; and brother in law, Jim Brown.He is survived by his wife, Kathy Newman; daughters, Jennifer Burt (Todd), of West Point, Utah; Teri Wilson (Mike), of Salt Lake City, Utah; sons: Jeremy Neman (Felicia), of Logan, Utah; and Josh Newman, of Boise, Idaho; Shane Newman, and Jon Newman, both of Texas; grandchildren: Aiden, Gabby, and Sawyer Burt; sister, Sandra Brown, of Salt Lake City, Utah.Per John's wishes there will be no funeral service or viewing. Cremation by Myers Roy Mortuary.
